Description

In 2022, the nursing profession was one of the most pressured professions in France. Despite a sharp increase in workforce numbers, recruitment challenges have continued to grow, making nursing one of the most high-pressure jobs*. The demanding working conditions, exacerbated by the COVID crisis, have diminished its attractiveness and complicated the arrival of new talent. Since the use of temporary and freelance contracts is becoming increasingly restricted, it is now essential to rethink the organization of nursing work in order to provide greater flexibility, while ensuring continuity of care. What concrete solutions can be implemented? Recognizing skills, optimizing replacement management, establishing nurse-patient ratios and developing digital solutions: this panel discussion will explore key strategies to help healthcare institutions better anticipate and manage their human resources, while enhancing the attractiveness and recognition of the nursing profession. *DARES study: https://dares.travail-emploi.gouv.fr/publication/les-tensions-sur-le-marche-du-travail-en-2022
